Discipleship Groups
Grow deeper together.
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
– 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (ESV) –
Multiplying mutual discipleship in groups of three to five men or women.
A Discipleship Group, or D-Group, is a group of 3 to 5 men or women who commit to meet together weekly or biweekly, according to their own schedule, for 12 to 18 months for prayer, study, and practice leading a small group. Group members agree to commit to attendance, homework, and prayer.
D-Groups exist to multiply intentional mutual discipleship within Redeemer. This is part of our mission together as a church family. These small, single-gender, committed, and closed groups provide a context for deep spiritual formation together.
One of the goals of the discipleship process is for each disciple of Christ to pass on the work of discipleship to others. During the D-Group year, every participant takes turns leading the times together, in training for each participant to recruit and lead a D-Group the following year.
